There has been an increase in request for international patent registration at the patent association of the Vice-Presidency in 2019, which will improve our country’s status in the field. Therefore, it can be said that promotional activities for acquaintance with intellectual property in scientific centers are well organized and organized.

According to the information center of national elites foundation, The number of requests made on the association system in the first 10 months of the current year showed an increase in this field, compared to last year. More than 320 requests were submitted in the first 10 months of this year. The number of patents granted at foreign patent offices has also increased this year compared to last year.

The patent registration association of the Vice-Presidency supports 90% of international patent registration in international offices. Some of the benefits of patent registration include lack of disclosure of valuable results of research made by knowledge-based companies or student theses in the form of articles and helping the commercialization of research achievements of industrial and scientific elites and researchers. 

In addition, about 86 patents have been submitted at international patent offices with the help of the association. Expanding the topics of intellectual properties and development of innovation have been the results of this act.

However, promotional activities of the patent association of Iran in this field have not been ineffective. The associate offices at the Science Center of the country held and familiarized themselves with intellectual property training courses. Holding workshops and winter schools is another focus of this effort.
