Iran is the 20^th country of the world that uses the technology of Internet of Things (IoT). This technology has been domesticized by the efforts of the technologists of the field. Given the existence of several players in this area, the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs has aimed to identify and gather these individuals under one roof.

The biotechnology development headquarter will support the second “national competition of designing and constructing biological nanosensors for rapid detection” in order to cooperate in the identification of knowledge-based groups and increasing the technical knowledge of the country. 

The first specialized innovation center in Qazvin science and technology park is opened in the presence of Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, to provide a space for nurturing ideas and accelerating the pace of activities in the innovation and technology ecosystem of the province.

The vice president for science and technology affairs visited the Alamut Powder Technology Co., which has opened the first production line of alloy powders in Alvand Industrial Town. The project is supported by the photonics, laser, and advanced materials and construction technologies development headquarter. 

During his trip to Qazvin Province, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, opened the production line of laminated multilayer plastic film and thermal cellophane in Caspian Industrial Town.

Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, entered Qazvin province to open technological projects and innovation centers in the region. The plant gene bank’s construction was initiated in the presence of Sattari, and a specialized innovation center will be opened in the science and technology park of the province. Qazvin Innovation Network will also be opened.

“The Information Technology Market of Iraq” is the title of a technological event that will be held for knowledge-based companies and startups with the support of the center for international science and technology cooperation. The main goal of the event is to evaluate and improve the challenges of Iranian startups in Iraq.

The database-centered business development and innovation center of the National Library of Iran was opened to provide services to startup businesses. During the ceremony, Sattari emphasized the importance of developing artificial intelligence and data analysis in the country to be applied as tools to introduce Farsi language.

Using the scientific power and experience of Iranian experts in knowledge-based companies is one of the goals of implementing the program of cooperating with non-resident Iranians. In addition to using these scientific capacities, this will help the return of Iranian specialists and entrepreneurs. As part of the connect.isti.ir program, more than 300 non-resident Iranians have worked with knowledge-based companies.

The Iranian researchers’ access to synchrotron labs such as Alba, Sesami and Ultra, has been provided with the support of the center for international science and technology cooperation. This is a good opportunity for Iranian users to access the world's top laboratories.
