According to the Communication and Information Center in the Vice Presidency of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy Ruhollah Dehghani, the Chairman of the Policy Council of the Mustafa Award tonight at the opening ceremony of the fifth edition of the Mustafa Award, which was held in Isfahan with the presence of the President, said: strategic policy for the development of science and technology in all areas has been one of the most important pillars of the Supreme Leader's policy since the beginning of the revolution. It is this policy that has turned Iran into a great power and possessor of technology. He continued: The Supreme Leader always follows the authority of the Islamic Republic in the scientific field. One of the reasons for authority is that it has large international award programs. According to the vice president of science, technology and knowledge-based economy, this award was an initiative of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution in 2012, and this year is its fifth edition. The head of the National Elites Foundation stated that the Mustafa Prize has been awarded to 14 top scientists so far and said: According to the words of prestigious magazines such as Science, this prize has been presented as the Nobel Prize of Islamic countries, and Iran is its flag bearer.

The vice president of science, technology and knowledge-based economy added: We believe that the Mustafa award has done at least three important things; First, it has identified 2,613 scientists from 110 countries at the international level, and 5 people from different countries have been selected as the winners of this course; This issue has been effective in producing useful and useful science.

He continued: This is the standardization of science because the award is defining this global standard and useful science.

Dehghani stated: Another fruit of Mustafa's (PBUH) award is to identify and show the power of the Islamic Republic in the development of science. When we have scientists from many countries in this award, the image of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the production of science and in the direction of supporting the production of useful science will improve.

He continued: Also, the third benefit of the award is international communication; This prize has events like KENZ or STEP that promote the exchange of science and technology.

According to Dehghani, these events and communication between scientists will create a technological infrastructure and develop a knowledge-based economy among Islamic countries.

He added: We hope that the award will be able to develop in other areas and shine brighter than yesterday in its firm support of science, technology and innovation.
