Known as the heaven of researchers and artists, the city of Suzhou hosted knowledge-based companies of Iran. The new city of Suzhou was established 17 years ago with the cooperation of Singaporeans. This is a technology-driven city with three main areas of Bio Wey, NanoPolice and the ICT sector are the three main areas of technology that the Iranian delegation visited during the trip.
This technological city has a valuable place in its science and research society. The technological achievements and products produced at the park will accelerate progress.
Presence of Iranian Knowledge-based Companies in “Suzhou”
Companies based in these areas of technology offer advanced and innovative services, familiarization with which can be a step for Iranian knowledge-based companies to expand their operations. The companies located in the park are always striving to foster innovation, competition, and progress.
In addition, the Iranian delegation also visited the Iranian export base and the knowledge-based companies located in the park. Iran's export base has a pavilion where the products of knowledge-based companies are presented. A call was also published with the support of the Vice-Presidency and Iran national science fund to present willing companies’ products in the pavilion. This headquarter does marketing and finds a business partner for tech companies.
In 2015, the nano center of Iran-China was established in Suzhou. This center will pursue the development of nanotechnology partnerships between the two countries and eventually create the infrastructure needed to deploy Iranian technology companies in the nanotech area of the subject industrial park. The Iranian science and technology delegation visited this center during the travel to China.
Information technology, stem cells, industrial machinery and equipment, advanced materials, and health are the fields of activity for knowledge-based companies headed to China. During the visit, Hashemi, the deputy minister of information technology and communication, Amir Ali Hamidieh, the secretary of stem cells sciences and technologies development headquarter, Mahdi Mohammadi, the secretary of digital economy and automation technologies development headquarter, and Sirous Vatankhah, the head of the Center for Development Cooperation, accompanied this delegation.
The Iranian science and technology delegation traveled to China with the presidency of Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs. The delegation included the managers of 70 knowledge-based companies. The purpose of this trip is to help develop Iran's knowledge-based, technology and creative companies' exports to China and to create a technology-based enterprise-wide exchange.
