The process of construction of an innovation center and accelerator with the name of “Shahid Sattari Innovation Center and Accelerator” was initiated in the presence of the vice president for science and technology affairs.

According to the information center of national elites foundation, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, traveled to Rafsanjan during his one-day trip to Kerman province and started the construction process of “Shahid Sattari Innovation Center and Accelerator” in an area of 30,000 m². In this respect, a trilateral cooperation agreement was signed between Mes-e Sarcheshmeh Complex, Valiasr University of Rafsanjan, and the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs.

The Path to Sustainable Development in Kerman Is Clear with the Creativity of Young People

During the ceremony for signing the agreement, the intrinsic development of Kerman is a clear path that is created by the creative and indigenous youth of this region. In this regard, he added: the new generation that emerged from the desert can bring about a serious transformation and be the foundation of sustainable development. I have said many times that the children of the desert have the stamina, motivation and creativity inherent in them, and these characteristics are the foundation of a knowledge-based economy.

Pointing out the necessity of attention to cultural and intellectual capitals of Kerman province, Sattari marked: on the 3^rd anniversary of Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani’s death, his thoughts must be a model for move toward sustainable development by supporting the indigenous youth.

Kerman Is a Leader in the Field of Bio-Pesticides

Pointing out the support of activists in the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem, Sattari mentioned: Kerman has worked well in some areas, especially biotech and chemical pesticides, fertilizers and agricultural products and inputs. Companies that have capabilities in this area are supported because they are part of the country's needs and support priorities determined at the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs.

Sattari marked the more acceleration of activity of science foundation in Rafsanjan, stating: serious measures must be taken to improve the activities of the science foundation in Rafsanjan. If investment is made with the help of the private sector, we are prepared to allocate a considerable share to establish this foundation since science foundations are the way to support innovations in the realization of sustainable development in the region.

Creating a 30,000 m² Foundation for the Deployment of Creative Technology Units

To establish Shahid Sattari Innovation Center in Ransanjan, a trilateral agreement was signed between Sorena Sattari, Hossein Ahmadi, and Esmaeil Ghaderifar, the president of the strategic technologies development center. The agreement was signed to establish an entrepreneurship ecosystem for students and academic graduates through establishing an innovation center. By signing this agreement, a space of 30000 m² will be added to the innovation ecosystem to establish technological units and an administrative space.

A committee will be created to implement the notes of the agreement. This committee is responsible for determining the implementation plans for allocating credit and proper performing of the programs.

According to the agreement, the Vice-Presidency is responsible for steps needed to accelerate the establishment of the Innovation and Accelerator Center.

Accompanied by Ahmadi and Ghaderifar, Sattari visited the exhibition of academic technologies of Rafsanjan. During the exhibition, the knowledge-based achievements of those based in the technological units, growth centers and knowledge-based companies of Rafsanjan were showcased in the fields of electronics, bio-fertilizers, seeds and seedlings.

According to the report, the vice president for science and technology affairs visited the achievements of knowledge-based companies by visiting the economic zone of Rafsanjan. Kiasam Karmania, Barafza Keshavarz Pars and Persian Bonian Aria are three companies hosting Sattari during the trip.

In addition, Sattari visits the progress made in the second phase of the national center of breeding of laboratory animals. Two years ago, the first phase of the center was established in Shahid Bahonar University in Kerman.

Acceleration of Innovative Ideas

Specialized accelerators in the five areas of handicraft, tourism, agriculture, health and industry and mining will have the space to deploy their teams. Events and workshops are also held at the center.

The vice president for science and technology affairs visited the innovation factory in Kerman with the goal of developing the ecosystem of innovation and knowledge-based ecosystem.
