In the visit of knowledge-based companies of Science and Technology Park based in Razavi Khorasan Province, the vice president for science and technology affairs stated: currently, knowledge-based companies working in the field of supplying the essential equipment to deal with coronavirus along with all other parts of the country, including the innovation ecosystem, are determined to fight the disease.

According to the information center of national elites foundation, the technology units and knowledge-based companies based in presented their knowledge-based achievements to Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs.

In the second part of travel to Mashhad, Sattari pointed out the country’s ability to produce biotechnical drugs, expressing: 22 Iranian biomedical drugs are produced in the country, turning our country into an unmatched pole in the region regarding the development of drug products.

Sattari pointed out the significant role of biotechnology in the activity of knowledge-based companies, adding: 700 companies are active in the field of biotechnology. In this regard, we are ranked third in Asia and the foundation must be laid for more export of products.

Fighting Coronavirus with the Help of Knowledge-based Companies

The vice president for science and technology affairs talked about the abilities of knowledge-based companies to manufacture essentials for prevention, diagnosis and fighting coronavirus, adding: at present, several knowledge-based companies are working on the corona test kit.

Sattari also pointed to the ability of manufacturing nanosilver masks by local knowledge-based companies.

The secretary of the biotechnology development headquarter explained the serious determination of the innovation ecosystem to fight coronavirus, asserting: Knowledge-based companies in the field of health products have good capabilities and are among the first few countries in the region to have this capability. In light of recent developments, nano masks are being developed. Only a few countries in the world can afford nano sterile filters, and Iran is one of them.

Sattari pointed out that a considerable number of knowledge-based companies are active in all fields, adding: in the past few days, about five million masks have been contracted by knowledge-based companies; these masks are being used by medical professionals to help them find a solution to the problem.

While emphasizing that the phenomena related to the coronavirus must only be informed by the determined committee, Sattari affirmed: there are no problems in the production field.

Visiting the Abilities of Razavi Khorasan Province in the Field of Health and Medicine

The vice president for science and technology affairs visited the achievements of Saman Daroo 8 Co. During the visit, the activists of the Imen Mouj-e-tous Company introduced their abilities in the field of manufacturing shop gates and shop anti-theft equipment to Sattari.

Visiting Health Science and Technology Park of University of Medical Sciences

During this one-day trip, the process of developing the health science and technology park of the University of Medical Sciences was started in the presence of the vice president for science and technology affairs. Construction of the Science and Technology Park has started on a 5-acre site, providing acceleration, deployment, consulting, investment and lab services to technology startups and startups.

Currently, more than 90 technological units based in the health science and technology park and growth center of technology units of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences have commercialized their products and services in the fields of drugs, medical equipment, and information and communication technology.

Different support and promotional events have been held in science and technology park, including four startup weekend events in the field of medicines based on traditional medicine, medical materials and genetics.

Five technological companies of the growth center have entered the space of the science and technology park and other graduates and creative activists in the fields of medicine, drugs, and cells have turned their ideas into prototypes.

During the trip to Razavi Khorasan Province, Sattari will open the “Khayam Innovation Ecosystem” and will attend the meeting of the working group for facilitation and removing obstacles in Razavi Khorasan Province with the topic of knowledge-based economy.
