Tag innovation center and the accelerator is the first foundation for innovative and technological services in the southeast of the country, which was opened in the presence of the vice president for science and technology affairs.


According to the information center of national elites foundation, the technology activists of Kerman province hosted Sorena Sattari and his delegation on December 31st, 2019 during the opening of the innovation center.


The center has the mission of attracting accelerators, startups and knowledge-based companies in all fields, especially agriculture, crafts & tourism, industry & mine, health, medicine & biotech.


The activists of the innovation ecosystem will be assisted by six units based in the Tag innovation center in the form of software, hardware and marketing and sales services.


Kerman Has Started Its Move toward the Innovation Path


During the opening ceremony of Tag innovation center, the vice president for science and technology affairs mentioned the start of Kerman’s taking steps on the path of innovation and knowledge-based economy, adding: I congratulate those who tried to set up this center, but the opening of this innovation center is a step in the way. Growing startups have a long way to go, and must be motivated and sustained by the worn-out structures of traditional culture and structural resilience and legal complexity.


The president of the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter considered the investment of the private sector in technology and innovation fields a valuable opportunity for flourishing of the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, adding: we have to come to the realization that because of the nature of government money, we will not work with this kind of investment. Innovation comes about through the investment and role-playing of the private sector. The government has to provide support and support, and it is the private sector that turns innovation into the product.


He continued: with the presence of private investors in Kerman, the prospect of good phenomena in the province is high.


According to the vice president for science and technology affairs, with such centers of rich human capital and industries and resources, in relation to private sector investment, there can be a bit of a transformation in Kerman. There are such capacity and motivation more than ever.


Emphasizing that the traditional sectors must seek their survival in cooperation with the innovation ecosystem, Sattari expressed: success is the destiny of the ecosystem activists, and the traditional and worn-out business sector has no chance of succeeding. The only way to succeed is to invest and support the young people who work in these businesses.


The vice president for science and technology affairs considered creative youth as the most important asset of Kerman's innovation ecosystem.


Opening of Phase II of the National Center for the Laboratory Animal Breeding and Reproduction


The vice president of science and technology affairs visited the animal breeding and laboratory preservation of Kerman University of Medical Sciences, Phase 2 of the national laboratory animal husbandry project, opening a "Clean Room" with an area of 180 m2 and a credit of 30 billion Rials. The first phase of the project was opened two years ago at the Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman in the presence of Sattari.

During the meeting, the vice president for science and technology affairs stated: while Kerman faces serious limitations, especially in the cultural and infrastructural fields, good steps have been taken by knowledge-based companies and startups coming from provincial universities and innovation centers. We hope that the innovation ecosystem is improved in the near future.


Sattari listed mining and agriculture as one of the province's indigenous advantages, expressing: Kerman province has proper knowledge-based companies and startups in the field of agriculture. In addition, the support of capable businesses in the field is one of the serious priorities of the Vice-Presidency.


He added: several academics are active in innovation centers or knowledge-based companies. With the support of provincial authorities and participation of the major players, the economy of the province will improve.


The president of the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter talked about the necessity of establishing a new model in the culture and viewpoints of all sectors of the province, affirming: these moves will allow traditional business structures to take their place in innovative ways of doing business and boost employment in the province.


According to the report, the vice president for science and technology affairs opened a comprehensive stem cell center in Kerman. After that, he visited the governorate of Kerman and talked to technology activists of the city.
