According to the information center of national elites foundation, Seyed Mohammad Sahebkar,
head of the center of knowledge-based companies and institutes stated in this
meeting, which was held in the presence of some of the knowledge-based
companies and authorized economic operators: the selected companies in the
range of authorized economic operators can learn about the regulations of the
customs affairs to facilitate their own commercial processes.

Sahebkar described the custom exemption of knowledge-based
companies, affirming: to date, more than 300 knowledge-based companies have
used the custom exceptions. In this regard, the Vice-Presidency has provided
unique programs, such as free custom counseling, introducing top
knowledge-based companies as authorized economic operator and facilitating the
process of customs, in order to simplify the custom activities of
knowledge-based companies. 

In this meeting, Sahebkar pointed out the benefit of customs
affair facilitations for knowledge-based companies, expressing: knowledge-based
companies can use a series of custom exceptions due to the regulations for
non-commercial goods (entered into the country with goals other than being sold
in the country).

Sahebkar regarded the limited import of required raw materials,
goods and equipment merely for performing research and development activities
to be in the list of items that can receive custom exemptions, mentioning:
import of raw materials can be subject to this plan if only the raw material is
constructed and pilot of goods and knowledge-based services for any type of
good or piece has not entered the phase of mass production. In addition, import
of laboratory equipment, test equipment and quality control in case of lack of
commercial nature and for equipping the research and development section of the
country can use the custom exception advantage if the domestic form is not
produced.

Faculty member of the technology research center pointed out the
importance of issue of authorized economic operators, asserting: all countries
have provided facilities for their authorized economic operators, which is
mainly for accelerating the pace of clearance, which saves both time and final
cost of products.

He continued: authorized economic operator are legal or actual
individuals from the perspective of customs that are active in international
displacement of goods. They are recognized as individuals who adhere to the
custom standards by observing indicators such as reviewing compliance records
and having financial ability to fulfill obligations.

Mojtaba Pourseyf, deputy of technical customer affairs, pointed
out the especial attention of customs to the facilitation of relevant processes
for knowledge-based companies, stating: establishing a comprehensive system has
led to a big change in customs activities, which will lead to the facilitation
of import and export of knowledge-based products.

According to this report, the meeting for evaluation of issues of
knowledge-based companies in the custom area, which was held in the presence of
Seyed Mohammad Sahebkar, head of the affairs of knowledge-based companies and
institutes, and Mojtaba Pourseyf, member of the customs of Iran,
knowledge-based companies and authorized economic operators expressed their
problems in commercial affairs and discussed the relevant issues.

In this meeting, the most important issues and challenges of
knowledge-based companies and institutes were discussed in the presence of
Sahebkar Khorasani, head of the center for knowledge-based instittues and
companies, and Mojtaba Pourseyf, deputy of technical affairs of customs.
