Dehghani Firouzabadi: We have prioritized the full implementation of the knowledge-based production leap law with all available capacities.
The Acting Vice President of Science and Technology said: The knowledge-based production leap law is the result of a continuous effort and the cooperation of the government, especially the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology with the Parliament and its full implementation is the main goal of the Vice Presidency.
Ruhollah Dehghani Firouzabadi, acting vice president of science and technology, at the third meeting of the permanent working group of the steering council for knowledge-based technologies and productions, considered the complete and perfect implementation of this law as one of the milestones in the progress of science and technology and the economy of the country and stated: with all the existing capacity in the country, we move towards the complete and flawless implementation of the law.
The Acting Vice President of Science and Technology also said: The main goal of this law is to create employment, promote knowledge-based production, ensure public security and welfare, and increase the national GDP with the help of knowledge-based companies.
He said about the issue of research and development tax credit, the subject of clause "b" of Article 11 of the knowledge-based production leap law, which was the main order of this meeting, he said: tax credit is designed as one of the world's mature support tools in the field of technology development with this goal in mind. A part of the government's tax revenues should be directed towards the development of a specific and priority issue instead of public consumption.
Dehghani Firouzabadi continued: In the knowledge-based production leap law, research and development tax credits are also considered with the aimed to encourage large industries and companies of the country to invest as much as possible in the field of research and development and improving technological capabilities.
He added: regulations and executive instructions to follow up on wrong interpretations and explanations of the text of the laws are approved by the government, and for this reason, a regulation should be prepared regarding the research and development tax credit, which, within the framework of the law goals, while being practical and not hindering companies, it also prevents possible abuses and waste of the country's resources.
