According to the Communication and Information Center in the Vice Presidency of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, at the same time as the anniversary of the martyrdom of IRNA reporter Mahmoud Saremi and Iranian diplomats in the attack on the consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mazar-e-Sharif and the day of commemoration of the journalist, Ruhollah Dehghani. Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy and a group of media members had a meeting and a friendly conversation.

Ruhollah Dehghani, speaking to the journalists of the science and technology field, pointed out the key and strategic role of the media in the formation of beliefs and stated: the field of news is related to the soul and mind of people; Therefore, if it is not more important than health, it is equally important. The problems of science and cognitive technologies have become one of the concerns of those in power and they have understood that what they can change with it is nothing but belief and knowledge.

He added: We work in a field that is sacred and serious, and I appreciate the role of all the activists in this field, who follow a difficult job without special benefits with love and seriousness. I believe that the media is the leader and the tip of the arrow in the field of science and technology, and that which is ahead of the advancement and development of technology is the media.

Dehghani stated that the idea of establishing an association of science and technology journalists is being pursued seriously by the vice presidency of science and said: We are trying to provide a basis so that in addition to journalists in this field, people interested in the field of content production are also trained and encouraged to produce rich and valuable content in the field of science and technology.

Stating that people treat news intelligently and recognize real achievements from advertisements and slogans, he clarified: My suggestion is to create a content sharing platform by the Deputy of Public Relations so that journalists can use all kinds of content if they wish and use the raw material that is provided to them in the production of content. Also, in the provincial trips of the vice president of science and the assistants and managers of the deputy, a number of journalists will be present every time so that while familiarizing themselves with the atmosphere of the trips, and produce news.

He stated that criticizing the media, especially in the field of science and technology, is constructive, he said: expressing the criticism and demands of the people from the media leads to the improvement of things and I believe that the criticism of the journalist in the field of science and technology should be given serious attention.

Dehghani added: Considering the special requirements of the field of science and technology, it is not expected that the news of this field will have a wide and general audience as much as some other fields. What is expected from the media in the field of science and technology is the transmission and dissemination of qualitative and accurate concepts and facts of this field, and if the news reaches its target audience with appropriate content and they benefit, then the media has fulfilled its mission well. For example, if the details of the new evaluation and support system for knowledge-based companies are well explained by the media, so that the knowledge-based company knows what support is included and what it needs to do, the media will fulfill its role in the development of the ecosystem of the knowledge-based economy.

The vice president of science, technology and knowledge-based economy considered the field of science and technology to be an oppressed field and the target of attacks by some harmful currents and added: the field of science, technology and knowledge-based economy is an oppressed field in the true sense of the word and the currents that are interested in this field they don't have and they are against the country's progress in this field, they seek to damage the path of progress and pollute this healthy flow in various ways by using all kinds of space-building and accusations. For example, the amount of tax exemptions and financial support for knowledge-based companies is magnified, while the total financial exemption received by knowledge-based companies is not one percent of the tax exemptions that are applied to various titles in the country. This is where the synergistic flow of science and technology media with its knowledge, experience and capability stands in front of this intelligent flow and brings the facts of the country's science, technology and knowledge-based economy to people's awareness.

He added: In order to publish accurate and correct news and help motivated and hard-working media activists, I know that it is my duty and my deputies to spare no effort and do what is necessary from accurate information and content to supporting and accompanying the media flow of science and provide technology to the activists of this field. We must not forget that today, protecting the privacy of the country's science and technology is a necessity. Of course, this does not mean covering up errors and shortcomings, but we should not discourage a motivating and future-building trend just to create space and heat up an issue.
