Knowledge-based products will receive standard licenses

According to the information center of national elites foundation, the new business and innovation office has emphasized the necessity of developing a qualification system for knowledge-based products with regard to the field presence of the Vice-Presidency in different knowledge-based ecosystems of the country.
One of the goals of this qualitative improvement is standardizing knowledge-based products. The standardization of knowledge-based products and the development of specific mechanisms for granting standard certification to these products can be an important step in opening up the consumer market to these technological goods. This will increase the pace of commercialization and selling more knowledge-based and Iranian products.
Therefore, The second phase of the project of importance of standardization of knowledge-based products is initiated in Qom with the purpose of covering at least 12 provinces. The event was held in the presence of the manager of the new business and innovation office of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, director-general of the national organization for standardization's product and service quality assessment, the authorities of science and technology park of the province, the standard office of the province, and the inspection companies at Qom science and technology park. In the first part of the morning session, the methodology for the implementation of COCs, COPs and Knowledge Marks for standardized products and the importance of standardization in the development of a knowledge-based economy were discussed.
The second part of the meeting was held in the evening and was attended by knowledge-based companies of Qom, technology units based on science and technology park and growth centers. At the meeting, officials outlined the importance and role of knowledge-based companies in the development of the innovation ecosystem, training them on the application process, how to obtain and issue compliance and product certifications.
It is noted that the compliance certificate will be awarded on the basis of compliance with the functional characteristics of the product concerned on the basis of a national, international, regional and community standard or a factory-based product. The product certificate is issued by conforming the specifications on the basis of self-declaration with the performance of the product in the absence of national or international standards.
