Persian Gulf Pearl Innovation Tower was opened during the travel of the vice president for science and technology affairs to Boushehr Province. In addition to the operation of the first phase of the Internet of Things infrastructure based on the LoRaWAN protocol, several new technological products were also unveiled during this trip.

According to the information center of national elites foundation, Sorena Sattari stated in an interview with journalists of different media: earlier, several business trips were made to Bushehr province to develop and expand various components of the innovation ecosystem. In terms of knowledge-based products in the battle against corona, he mentioned: in this field, not only all the required products in this field are produced in the country, but also various "high-tech" products, including diagnostic kits and ventilators, have been exported abroad. The ecosystem of knowledge-based companies has been able to play its role in reducing the destructive dimensions of this crisis and equipping the community with the products needed to defend against the virus.

He added: in the field of serological kits, the country's capacity has reached one million kits per day. In the field of PCR kits, a capacity of 1.5 million tests has been created in the country, and if the licensing processes are completed, export horizons can be considered in this area.

Innovation Tower Opening

Opening the Persian Gulf Pearl Innovation Tower was the main part of the trip of Sattari to Boushehr Province, which was exploited with a credit of more than 15 billion Tomans with the support of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs. The tower will provide space for knowledge-based companies of the province. The tower has an area of 3000 m² and can considerably affect the leap of the innovation ecosystem in the province.

The new building of the science and technology park of Boushehr province will also be opened in the presence of Sorena Sattari. During his travel to Boushehr, Sattari will meet with some of the authorities of the province, including Abdolkarim Geravand, the governor of Boushehr, to unveil the first phase of the IoT network based on the LoRaWAN protocol.

Given the growing importance of smart devices based on IoT, this vital infrastructure could play a key role in the development of innovative businesses.

LoRaWAN is one of the most applied protocols in the IoT area, which is implemented with a value of four billion Rials with the support of the Vice-Presidency. In the first phase, the district two of Boushehr will be covered, and the second phase will cover all parts of Boushehr.

Unveiling Technological Products in Knowledge-based Companies of Boushehr

Sattari visited the exhibition of knowledge-based companies of the province in addition to visiting several different centers cooperating with the innovation network and learned about the achievements of the technologists.

Three technological products of the acoustic location of polyethylene gas pipes, water quality monitoring system of shrimp pools based on the IoT and T-service automatic welding machine on metal lines were among the technological products that were introduced to the vice president for science and technology affairs.

Moreover, workshops of alcohol production, hand disinfectant gels, masks, surface disinfectants, power and protection system technology development center and creative industries innovation center were among the other production centers that are in line with empowering the southern region to better cope with the outbreak of the corona virus.

Opening Persian Gulf Pearl Innovation Tower with an area of 3000 m², participation in the meeting of economy of resistance and production leap in the presence of the authorities of the province and field meeting with the technologists of the province are among other programs of this trip of Sattari to south of Iran.
