Using university capacities to develop knowledge-based economy

The specialized and interactive meeting was held between the Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy and the Commander of Imam Hossein University.

Ruhollah Dehghani, Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, said in this meeting, referring to the capacities of Imam Hossein University (AS), this university has very good knowledge capabilities that can be used in the development of knowledge-based economy. I hope this scientific collection can continue to move towards success.

He added: In new generation universities, the scientific and technological movement leads to the prosperity of knowledge-based activities, and we are trying to use the capacity of these types of universities to meet the priority needs of the country.

Targeted student recruitment

In this meeting, General Mohammad Reza Hasani Ahangar, commander of Imam Hossein University (AS), referring to the capacity of this university in all fields of knowledge, especially humanities and defense sciences except medicine, stated: Imam Hussein University (AS) ) with 12 faculties and research institutes, about 75 science and technology centers, 300 committees and 431 attached and affiliated faculty members, has about 4,000 students. 3,600 master's students in 97 fields and about 400 doctoral students are studying in this university.

By stating that student recruitment is targeted and theses are accepted by professors based on priorities, he said: A model of leadership expectations from Imam Hossein University, how to produce science, custodianship and other priorities have been practically transformed into an executive model. Based on the measures and orders of the leadership, the road map of the university has been compiled.

Visiting startups in Paradise Hub

The vice president of science, technology and knowledge-based economy visited the innovative companies and cores located in Paradise Hub and had a conversation with the technological activists of these teams. Also, the 100 Startups program was another part of this ecosystem that was visited. "100 Startups" is a continuous decentralized investment and acceleration program that invests up to 20 billion Tomans in 100 seed-stage startups every year.
