Women's Business Growth and Acceleration Center of Kerman Will Be Opened
This morning, the women's business growth and acceleration center of Kerman was opened in the presence of Zeynab Hamidzadeh, women’s affairs advisor to the vice president for science and technology affairs, to witness the empowerment of women of this province.
This morning, the women's business growth and acceleration center of Kerman was opened in the presence of Zeynab Hamidzadeh, women’s affairs advisor to the vice president for science and technology affairs, to witness the empowerment of women of this province.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the women's business growth and acceleration center of Kerman was opened on August 24th, 2019 in the presence of Zeynab Hamidzadeh, women’s affairs advisor to the vice president for science and technology affairs, Fatemeh Sadat Hosseini, director general of women's affairs, and governorate family of Kerman along with a number of authorities of the province.
Hamidzadeh emphasized the necessity of meritocracy in the society, adding: when we look at the efficiency and ability of men and women in society, we find that women are no less capable than men.
According to Hamidzadeh, there are 4500 active knowledge-based companies in the country, only 10% of which have been founded or are managed by women.
Support of Establishment of Growth Centers
Hamidzadeh explained the goals and approaches of the Vice-Presidency, expressing: modeling, improving the infrastructures and developing process networks and supporting growth centers are among the important plans of the Vice-Presidency. In this regard, a special attention will be paid to the capacities of Kerman Province.
In terms of development of innovation and technology ecosystem, Hamidzadeh asserted: the Vice-Presidency has dedicated extensive efforts to the development of this ecosystem, and has developed many innovation centers and accelerators.
Pointing out the formation of successful startups in the country, Hamidzadeh continued: some of these startups are managed by women, and their role in this area is of paramount importance.
