“Introduction and culture building” will pave the way of knowledge-based economy
According to the information center of national elites foundation, Sorena Sattari, the vice
president for science and technology affairs, regarded the most important
facilitator of knowledge-based economy to be culture building in order to
create a proper entrepreneurship ecosystem for knowledge-based companies and
startups during the opening ceremony of the TV channel of Iran Kala in the
presence of ministers of agriculture and industry, mine and trade and parliament
members. In this regard, Sattari stated: knowledge-based companies and startups
started with small steps and now have a significant position in the economy of
Iran. Constant moving of these businesses requires culture building to create
an appropriate entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem.
Sattari talked about the effective role of the national media in
introducing and promoting the culture of knowledge-based economy, adding: Iran
Kala TV channel can make this entrepreneurship culture and present successful
examples to create incentives in other individuals to enter this field.
President of the knowledge-based economy, technology and science
development headquarter pointed out the importance of culture building for
knowledge-based economy, affirming: the first round of the national, cultural
and art festival of “Made in Iran” under the slogan of “Iranian Technology,
Iranian Business” was held last year with the same approach. The second round
of this national festival will be held to support knowledge-based products and
services with the help of IRIB and the Iran Kala TV Channel and cooperation of
related beneficiaries to produce content in order to promote knowledge-based
economy.
The vice president for science and technology affairs pointed out
the role-playing of more than 3500 knowledge-based companies and hundreds of
startups in the improvement of economy of the country.
Sattari also mentioned the role-playing of the young generation,
regarding the innovation of this generation as the winning card of
knowledge-based economy to transform the country.
The vice president for science and technology affairs considered
the support provided by IRIB and head of the national media as a large step
toward the promotion and development of knowledge-based economy.
Using the capacity of educated youth in the path of innovation is
one of the most important goals of promoting knowledge-based economy through
linking education with production and innovation-based education.
President of the national elites foundation also pointed out that
170 thousand students participated in domestic academic centers and
universities during the first years after the Islamic revolution. However, 100
thousand students were studying abroad at that time. In this respect, he conveyed:
the majority of Iranian students were in America, forming the largest colony of
foreign students in this country. Meanwhile, despite the growth of number of
students by 27 times, only 48 thousand out of more than four million and seven
thousand students are studying abroad and the majority of this human capital is
in Iran.
Laying the Foundation to Introduce Knowledge-based and New
Businesses
Ali Askari, head of the national media, regarded the most
important mission of Iran Kala TV channel to be laying the foundation for
introducing and presenting the abilities of new and knowledge-based businesses.
