Iran’s minister of science, research and technology says the Amirkabir National Festival has an effective potential to link universities, industry and society together.

Simaei Sarraf made those remarks in a message to the closing ceremony of the Fourth National Amirkabir Festival.
He added that as social entities, universities are not only centers of learning but also play a crucial role in addressing the needs of the society.
Simaei Sarraf said despite their capacities, universities still face shortcomings in their relationship with industry and the production and service sectors.
Iran’s minister of science, research and technology further stressed that any effort toward creating a link between universities, industry, and society that would also help shape such a discourse is worthy of praise.

He further thanked Iran’s Chamber of Commerce and Foundation of Elites as organizers of the Amirkabir National Festival.
