Now that knowledge-based companies and startups have significantly used their ability to develop advanced technologies, it is time to enter the global market and occupy the markets.


According to the information center of national elites foundation, In the last year, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, traveled to Russia, China and Turkey with the goal of developing technological and scientific interactions. In these trips, managers of knowledge-based companies accompanied the science and technology delegation of Iran.


Given the old commercial relations between Iran and Russia, it was time to deepen the cooperation between knowledge-based companies of the two countries.


The technological cooperation of Iran and Russia is strengthened


In this respect, the vice president for science and technology affairs traveled to Moscow as the head of a science and technology delegation in July 2019, a trip that strengthened the technological cooperation between the two countries.


In total, 70 knowledge-based companies were present in the travel. From the very first day of its arrival in Moscow, the programs were such that the empowerment of knowledge-based companies was pursued. Therefore, companies visited the international Industrial Exhibition (Inoprom 2019) along with the vice president. In this exhibition, more than 600 reputable companies from 107 companies in Yekaterinburg presented their achievements. As such, there was an opportunity to introduce new technologies to students to use to develop their market.


Two Business and Technology Meetings Were Held


Sattari also traveled to Russia for attending in two business and technology meetings in Moscow and Yekaterinburg. The meetings focused on creating a platform for exporting products, finding a business partner, attracting investors and transferring technology.


The meetings led to concluding 10 contracts and agreements between the two countries in the field of oil and gas engineering services, virtual reality, drugs, vaccine, acceleration, production of surgical robots and joint games.


The Iranian Delegation Entered China


After the travel to Russia, the vice president for science and technology affairs traveled to China in October after being officially invited by the ministry of science of this country.


During the trip, two business and technology meetings were held in Shanghai and Shenzhen. The development of exports of knowledge-based, technology and creative companies was followed in these meetings. In addition, attending the meetings led to familiarization with the latest scientific and technological achievements of the two countries and the study and needs assessment of the market. In Shenzhen meeting, seven agreements were signed between the Iranian and Chinese knowledge-based companies. Cell therapy, gene therapy, and the issue of joint production of social robots are some of the topics on which the agreements were concluded.


Chen Rugui, Mayor of Shenzhen, welcomed any scientific cooperation proposed by the vice president for science and technology affairs of Iran.


Turkey Hosted Knowledge-based Companies


After travel to China, the vice president for science and technology affairs traveled to Turkey in February 2020 as the head of a 80-member delegation. In this travel, Sattari met with the vice president of Turkey, the minister of technology and mine and the head of the higher education council of Ankara. In these meetings, strategies for the development of scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries were pursued. Moreover, Sattari attended business and technology meetings held in the travel.
