According to the information center of national elites foundation, Sorena Sattari, the vice
president for science and technology affairs, pointed out the capacity of
knowledge-based and startups of Iran for technological cooperation between Iran
and Austria in a meeting with Michael Strugl, minister of economy of Upper
Austria, stating: with regard to the potential and large capacity of Iranian
market in the area of transportation and presence of knowledge-based companies
and startups of Iran, there is a proper foundation for development of
technological markets in Austria and cooperation on transportation.
Technological Interaction of Knowledge-based Companies and
Startups of Iran and Austria
Sattari regarded the knowledge-based companies and startups as the
basis of technological cooperation between Iran and Austria in transportation
area, affirming: development of the new generation of entrepreneurship in Iran
with the help of this youth will pave the way for international cooperation. In
addition to receiving and expanding the technologies from the foreign
counterpart, these companies can export their technological power and technical
knowledge to other countries.
Specifically, cooperation has been made between Austria and
Iranian knowledge-based companies in the area of localization of Three-cylinder
Euro 6 engine. However, there are several other potential areas for cooperation
between the two countries, which must be developed.
The vice president for science and technology affairs talked about
the new generation and young entrepreneurs and mentioned that culture can be
improved in the area of industrial policies, especially automotive production.
In this regard, he expressed: the knowledge-based companies and startups can fill
the gap in change of path of traditional automotive manufacturing industries by
their high speed and flexibility in order to make a fast-paced development in
the transportation industry.
Support of Development Process of Knowledge-based Companies
Sattari reminded the active support of the knowledge-based
companies and startups by the government, mentioning: the law for support of
knowledge-based companies of Iran provides more than 120 services for
development of industries based on knowledge-based companies and startups to
pave the way for dynamic innovation of industry.
According to the vice president for science and technology
affairs, development of transportation service startups based on information
and communication technologies in Iran has had a significant growth. For
instance, more than 800 thousand urban commutes are performed in the capital of
Iran using Iranian startups.
Sattari continued: some of the Iranian knowledge-based companies
in the region are regarded as the best companies and have something to offer in
the Asia.
Preparedness for Interaction and Cooperation in the Advanced
Technologies Field
President of the national elites foundation affirmed: have not
been that much successful in the advanced technologies area like the developments
we achieved in biotechnology, nanotechnology and stem cells. Iranian
knowledge-based companies are also active in the automotive production area.
Sattari talked about the favorable historical interactions between
Iran and Austria as a proper foundation for technological cooperation,
conveying: the active Austrian companies in the area of production of airplane
and automotive pieces and electronic equipment of Austria have good abilities.
In addition, communication of Iranian startups and knowledge-based
companies with the Austrian companies in the area of science and technology
will help the industrial flourishing and development of knowledge-based economy
of the two countries.
The vice president for science and technology affairs expressed
his hope about the development of technological interactions with Austria as an
important priority of the country through establishing a favorable ecosystem
for cooperation of startups and knowledge-based companies of the two countries
and solving financial challenges and interaction with a higher pace.
Necessity of Creation of Infrastructures for Development of
Cooperation in E-mobility
Michael Strugl, minister of economy of Upper Austria, pointed out
the cooperation capacities of the two countries in the area of e-mobility,
stating: the cooperation chain between Iranian companies and startups can be
expanded with regard to the talent of Iran in the automotive industry.
He continued: we are interested in cooperation with Iran in other
electronic areas according to this platform.
Strugl also stated that the foundation for interaction in the
educational area is prepared, continuing: creation of infrastructure for
companies and transfer of technology in the automotive industry area is one of
the future interaction areas of Iran and Austria. In addition, education of
students, researchers and scholars in the mentioned areas can be carried out.
According to this report, Mahmoud Sheikh Zeinoddin, deputy of
innovation and technology commercialization of the Vice-Presidency, Seyed Ahmad
Reza Alaei, general manager of technology transfer office, Stefan Scholz,
Austrian ambassador in Iran, Lucas Dean Lish, deputy of economy, talked about
the areas of technological cooperation in the transportation field.
