An institution that was established to implement the goals of the Cultural Revolution in universities, but its effective and encouraging movement in the scientific and cultural promotion of the university environment caused the subsidence of the inflammatory atmosphere of the first years after the victory of the Islamic Revolution. Islamic, expanding applied and developmental research, supporting the scientific research activities of students and young researchers to solve the real problems and specialized needs of the society to continue its blessed life in the scientific and academic ecosystem of the country.

The academic jihad in its forty-three years of proud history, the most brilliant moments of which were in the years of sacrifice and the saga of holy defense and with the sacrifice and selflessness of a group of the purest and most sincere students of the university in the field of self-sufficiency jihad and technical and combat engineering support from the fronts, It has been the source of effective services and lasting achievements in various fields of science, technology, culture, society, and so on.

Playing a decisive role in the educational, cultural and scientific revitalization of universities, active participation in various fields of holy defense, and further, innovation in creating movements and collections of scientific and cultural advancement such as Royan Research Institute, Ibn Sina Research Institute, Motamed Cancer Research Institute, Iran Students News Agency , the Quranic news agency, the Iranian students' opinion polling center and dozens of different scientific and cultural centers, units and groups have made such a brilliant record for academic jihad that the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution has repeatedly inspected this jihadist group with special and enviable expressions. Academic Jihad considering the successful organizational experience and operational and practical successes of this institution for 43 years and three unique indicators of jihadi work culture and benefiting from committed and concerned elites with the spirit of tireless effort and struggle, a well-known and trusted national network and special care from the authorities Supreme leadership and structural legal capacity as a public institution in the field of science, technology and innovation is one of the most capable and powerful scientific capitals of the revolution and the holy system of the Islamic Republic.

In a situation where the people's government is taking steps with a serious determination and jihad movement in the direction of economic prosperity and production growth, expansion and popularization of the knowledge-based economy, employment development and hope creation, academic jihad is one of the biggest supports and points of reference due to its high experiences and capabilities. The government is handing over great national responsibilities and missions.
