Introduction of the new deputy director of the National Elites Foundation
Dehghani: Our need today is to return to the main mission of the National Elites Foundation
The induction ceremony of the new deputy director of the National Elites Foundation was held today, in the presence of Dr. Ruhollah Dehghani, the president of the National Elites Foundation, and a group of elites, and Seyed Salman Seyed Afghahi was introduced as the new deputy director.
According to the Communication and Information Center in the Vice Presidency of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, at the beginning of his speech, Dehghani thanked all the directors and deputies and those who have been present at the National Elites Foundation since its establishment and planning, especially Nasser Bagheri Moghadam, the former deputy director of the foundation.
Emphasizing that the National Elites Foundation was established with the planning and desire of the Supreme Leader to use and honor the elites, he said: "The biggest mission of the National Elites Foundation is to network the elites for influence and the second is to use the opinions of the elites for better governance, and these two missions are clearly stated in the statutes of the National Elites Foundation."
Dehghani emphasized: The National Elites Foundation should not be limited to serving the elites, including their welfare issues, and believes that such a view and understanding of the mission of the Elite Foundation is not relevant anywhere in the world.
He added: The National Elites Foundation is a mediating institution, and he considered its most important mission to be in the field of mediating, through which it can connect the vast society of elites to the governing body.
Dehghani went on to talk about the two subjects that threaten the National Elites Foundation today, and the first one is the reductionist view of the mission of the National Elites Foundation, during which the foundation is reduced to a guild service organization; Meanwhile, the foundation should be an institution created by the elites to convey their lofty opinions to the governing body.
Dehghani considered the second subject to be the separation of the elite from the society and said: "Consciously or unconsciously, the elite society has separated from the people, and despite depriving the elite of popular support, this challenges the influence of the elite in society, which is its main responsibility and mission."
According to him, our need today is to return to the main mission of the National Elites Foundation, so that by networking the elites, we can have the most synergy and benefit from them.
He also emphasized that the foundation should be managed by the elites themselves and leave the affairs of the elites to them, and he considered this important as the turning point of the National Elites Foundation.
In the end, Dehghani mentioned the work and scientific record of Dr. Seyed Salman Seyed Afghahi and called him one of the elites in the field who has valuable works in the field of planning for the elites and wished him success.
Seyed Afghahi: The main problem of the country is efficiency
Dr. Salman Seyed Afghahi, the deputy director of the National Elites Foundation, considered the Iranian Islamic model of progress as a manifesto of the Islamic Revolution and, citing the opinions of the Supreme Leader, listed "thought", "science", "life" and "spirituality" as four important areas in this document.
According to him, there is a serious difference between "science" and "thought" and despite the fact that there is not a shortage of scholars in our country, but we do not have a satisfactory situation in the field of producing thought and thinkers as it should be, and in this context, he said: "Weakness in the production of thinkers has historical roots and the reason for this can be traced to the actions of like Taghizadeh and Mizra Malkam Khan".
The deputy director of the National Elites Foundation believes that the production of thought is a continuous process and it should be institutionalized in society from childhood and during education, and it is actually through education that we can hope for its actualization.
Seyyed Afghahi considered the main problem of the country to be efficiency and considered the condition of achieving efficiency to be the ability of people to solve the problems of the country and distinguish the right from the wrong.
He also emphasized that at the strategic level, we need summit building and honor building, during which the youth will be proud of Iran and their Iranianness, and he considered one of the reasons for the emigration of elites to be the same lack of positive mentality.
According to him, at the program and tactical level, we must create a meaningful connection between the plans and it is necessary that these plans become a meaningful, purposeful and coherent whole system, and he emphasized: "To realize a meaningful and purposeful system, we must refer to our own knowledge sources; In addition, we should not ignore the gap between the basic sciences and the humanities, including sociology and philosophy, because the connection of these two fields can help us in the realization of this meaningful syste
