27 Iranian teams in global Fira robots competitions (2019) gained medals in South Korea

According to the information center of national elites foundation quoted by Amir Kabir University of Industry, the 24^th round of Fira robotics competitions was held in Changwon, South Korea during August 11^th-17^th, 2019 attended by 1800 participants in four main categories of Fira competitions and in the form of 11 student leagues and eight school student leagues in two U 14 and U 19 sections from 18 countries, including the United States, Germany, South Korea, Turkey, Russia, Malaysia, Philippine, China, India, Indonesia, Taiwan, Canada, and Iran.

At the end of the competitions, Iranian teams attending the competition were able to gain 14 championship titles, eight runners, and five third places.

Soroush Sadeghnejad, a member of the Fira Robotic World Federation Board of Directors, presented the top teams in the competition.

In the school student competitions and league of flying robots, the AUTMan of Amir Kabir University of Industry gained championship in technical competition with other countries.

In the same league and in the main competition, the same team was able to gain the second place, and a team from China gained the first place. In the league of indoor flying robots, team of Amir Kabir University gained the third place. In the student section of the flying robotics league, the girls' robotics team from Mashhad also won the championship.

In the Simulation Robotics League, the AUTMan-AMOS team from Amir Kabir University won third place in the competition with competitors from China, South Korea, Mexico, Taiwan, Iran and Singapore.

In the Sport Robotics Challenge and Drive Fast Robots League, the AUTMan team of Amir Kabir University has been able to gain the second place after competing with their competitors. In the section of Challenge Competition and in the Car League, Microdev's team from Mashhad won the Championship title in Technical Competition.

In the same category and in the Creativity and Innovation League competitions; in the adult section, the Hope team from Shamsipur University of Technology won the second place, and the Kerman_UPNOP team from Kerman won the third place. In the school student section of the league, a team of small scientists from Amir Kabir Robotics School won the first place in the U 14-age competition.

In the student section, the robot caravan of the Islamic Republic of Iran shone very well. In the U 14 Crisis Relief and Management Robotics League, the knowledge team from the first high school of Gholhak won the championship.

In the U 19 age group, other teams from this classification also won the championship and second place of the competition. In the Fira Sports Robot League, in the U 14 age category, the Danesh Plus team from Gholhak high school won the first place, and Knowledge Prime Team won the second prize from the same high school. In the U 19 age group, the Iranian teams also performed well and managed to win all three places in the league.

In the competitions, teams of Salam Dibaji from Salam Dibaji High School achieved the first and second places while Khatam Team from Khatam High School won the third place.

In the Mission Impossible League, which is one of the key leagues of Fira, Parsis Team gained the first place in the software section in the U 19 age range. In the same competition, Alame Tabatabaei Robotics Team from Alame Tabatabaei School, Abshenasan District, won the second place. In the hardware section of the league, Arman Team from Arman Educational and Cultural Institute of Mashhad won the championship.

In the joint section of the competitions, team of Gholhak High School and a team from China won the first place in the U 14 age range, whereas Alame Tabatabaei team and another team from China won the first place in the U 19 age range. In the same age range, the Parsis Team and a team from Turkey earned the third place. In the same league, Alame Tabatabaei and Parsis teams from Iran won the first and second places in U 19 age range.

Iran Will Host the 2020 Global Competitions

Head of department of student scientific associations of Amir Kabir University stated: this year, we were able to present a report on the preparations for the Fira World Robotics Federation’s Board of Directors meeting, according to which Iran will host the largest robot sport event in 2020. This great honor is of great importance in view of the successful presence of various Iranian groups in the university and school student sectors and in view of the development of the Iranian scientific and research activities in this field.
