president for science and technology affairs, pointed out the potential of
startups and knowledge-based companies in the evolution of road, housing and
urban technology during the visit of the housing research center, stating:

Sattari regarded the formation of a proper environment for

adding: the suitable entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem must be created
to persuade the private sector to invest in this field.

He considered the flourishing of startups and knowledge-based
companies in the transportation area as a successful example of this process,
continuing: there are great capacities in road and building areas, flourishing
of which requires culture building for presence of the private sector.

of the government in applied researches to be guidance and creation of a proper
entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem, declaring: presence of the
government in the area of research is destructive and penetration of innovation
to various areas, such as road and building, requires an entrepreneurship
ecosystem. Meanwhile, quality must also be considered so that each student that
enters the university be regarded as a bomb for our economy.

Sattari mentioned the capabilities of knowledge-based businesses
in the area of optimization of building’s energy, stating: in addition to the
entrance of various technologies, such as internet of things, biotechnology and
nanotechnology to the life of people, we could witness a serious evolution in
the area of new energies and exploitation of energy.

Recognition of the Capacity of Presence of Startups in the Area of

Mahmoud Shekarchi, head of the research center of road and
housing, pointed out the capacities of this center for presence of startups in
the area of strong motion and building, expressing: strong motion center is one
of the required centers for the country to accurately measure the acceleration
rate of earthquake, which can take further steps with the support of startups,
knowledge-based companies and the Vice-Presidency for science and technology
affairs.

He pointed out the significant need of the country for advanced
equipment and technology in the area of strong motion and recognition of damage
caused by earthquake, adding: the role of information and communication
technology in implementation of new and effective methods to accurately
evaluate earthquake is more highlighted. In addition, equipment with new
technology can evaluate a great volume of relevant data.
