Since 2015, the program of cooperation with non-resident Iranian experts and entrepreneurs has been designed and implemented in the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs (international.bmn.ir). Over the past five years, the program has involved more than 8,000 Iranian non-resident specialists in short-term and long-term projects with universities, growth and innovation centers, knowledge-based companies and technology parks.

According to the information center of national elites foundation, To date, more than 1,500 Iranians have returned to Iran. Those whose experiences and knowledge have played an effective role in the growth and development of capable scientific, technological and economic knowledge of the country's founders.

The use of the capacity of non-resident Iranian specialists and entrepreneurs has been implemented with the aim of establishing communication and cooperation with scientific environments and selected knowledge-based companies, as well as benefiting from new knowledge and technologies to help sustainable development in international fields.

The main audience for this program is Iranian researchers, specialists and leading scholars abroad. These services are provided in the form of various support mechanisms such as postdoctoral, study opportunities, invited and appointed professors, establishment of technology company, lecture and specialized workshop and specialized project to replace military service with emphasis on brain rotation model.

Top 200 Universities in the World Based on Times and QS Rankings

Mahdi Ghalenoei, the head of the international science exchange center, mentioned that in this project, we consider the ranking of the top 200 universities in the world based on international references. He marked: PhD students from these universities, professors from the world's top 200 universities, and experts and entrepreneurs working in one of the leading scientific and technological institutes or international technology companies are the main audience for the program. During this time, 1,500 of them returned to Iran.

He added: if we can make good use of the valuable scientific and specialized capacities of Iranians interested in cooperating with the country and establish their communication and interaction with selected scientific and domestic scientific and technological centers, we will have a significant leap in various scientific and economic fields.

According to Ghalenoei, all of these people are the scientific leaders of the country who play an influential role in the future of the country. Therefore, we must work to establish communication and use their scientific and professional potential for the development of science and technology in the country, and accelerate their return and cooperation to the country by implementing more diverse programs.
