According to the reports of global organizations, Iran has been ranked 17th among 20 countries that send experts to other countries. According to the global bank report in 2016, Iran is not among the top 30 countries with highest emigration rates.


According to the information center of national elites foundation, the report of global immigration organization in 2018 stated that a total of 244 million individuals are living abroad. It means that one out of 30 individuals of the total population of the world are emigrants.


According to the statistics published by this organization, Iran is not among the main countries that send elites to other countries. In addition, the report by development and economic cooperation in 2015 showed that Iran was ranked 17th among the 20 countries with highest emigration rates. On the other hand, the report by the global bank in 2016 was indicative of lack of placing of Iran in the list of 30 top countries with highest emigration rates.


According to this report, the emigration rate of Iran to the total population of this country was 1.5% in 2016, which was smaller, compared to the global mean of 3.2% and the majority of countries with similar conditions. In this regard, America is the host of one-third of specialized emigrants of the world.


According to the report by the American Emigration Office in 2015, America was the host of more than 1.4 million foreign students, and this information has been provided based on the number of F1 visas issued, duration of which is more than one year and is regarded as an education visa. According to these statistics, foreign students in America have significantly changes. In 2015-2016, China had the most students in America (31%), followed by India (14%), South Korea (7%), Saudi Arabia (6%) and Canada (3%). In this regard, Iran was ranked 11th with 12356 students in this country.


In addition, according to the report by times higher education journal in 2017, acceptance of international students has undergone some changes after approving the law of limitation of emigrants by Trump. Meanwhile, the number of foreign students in America have continued to growth since 2002. However, in 2017, about 40% of 50 top universities of America have faced a mean of 2% decrease in the number of international students. The highest percentage of reduction was related to international students from the Middle East (Iran, Saudi Arabia and Turkey) with 39% reduction.
