Needs and gaps in the field of manufacturing and supplying marine components and systems were identified by holding the first demand-oriented event on maritime industry of the country.


According to the information center of national elites foundation, the first demand-oriented event on maritime industry of the country was held in the presence of marine organizations and companies and with the support of the national space and advanced transportation administration, the center for progress and development of Iran, and Iranian international techmart.


The event was performed on various fields, such as casting, forging, precision machining, system assembly and advanced materials. Exhibition of offshore requirements in the field of marine propulsion was one of the side events of the event. In total, 70 products were presented in the event with the value of 500 billion rials, and were welcomed by players in the maritime field and construction area of the country. In addition, more than 40 face-to-face meetings were held between applicant industries and producers and technologists, which led to the conclusion of 15 contracts with a value of 50 billion rials.


The software of maritime knowledge management, prepared with the support of Iranian ranking institution, was unveiled on the closing ceremony. The software has been developed with application in the field of maritime management systems, such as MLC, ISPS, and ISM (safety, security and maritime management systems).
