A cooperation agreement was signed between the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs and the geographical organization of the armed forces with the goal of developing location-based technologies in the country.

A cooperation agreement was signed between the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs and the geographical organization of the armed forces with the goal of developing location-based technologies in the country.


According to the information center of national elites foundation, a cooperation agreement was signed between the national space and advanced transportation administration and the geographical organization of the armed forces to develop location-based technologies in the country and increase the activity of knowledge-based firms.


On the ceremony, Manouchehr Manteghi, chairman of the national space and advanced transportation administration, pointed out the necessity of presence of the geographical organization of the armed forces in the area of location-based technologies, stating: using the ability of knowledge-based companies working in the location-based field is an important step toward the support of domestic production.


According to Manteghi, the geographical organization of the armed forces has a high potential in the area of location-based technologies, which must be properly used in the country.


The chairman of the national space and advanced transportation administration also asserted: after signing this agreement, it is expected that cooperation be raised in the field of remote sensing and transportation automation in the country. We also follow up the operationalization of this type of agreements.


In addition, Amir Majid Fakhri, head of the geographical organization of the armed forces, regarded the development of location-based technologies in the country an important issue, declaring: the geographical organization of the armed forces has carried out extensive research on this field, and we hope that progress is accelerated by cooperation with the Vice-Presidency.


He continued: the national space and advanced transportation administration has more knowledge of the scientific capacity of the country, and we hope that this agreement accelerates the pace of development in this area.
