According to the information center of national elites foundation, Currently, seven technological projects have been invested in the fund with a value of three billion and 700 million Tomans. Tourism, agriculture and software are some of the areas of these technological projects, each of which has an effective role in the development of the province.
Today, the total credits of the fund are more than 250 billion Rials in the form of “facilities, agencies, brokers, insurances and investment”.
During the opening ceremony of the fund, Sattari stated: the research and technology fund is a foundation for the scientific development of any province. Today, the opening of the fund will initiate activities in Gilan province. While Gilan was the first province that established a science and technology park, it fell behind in this area, compared to other provinces.
He also affirmed: currently, we support the concluding of six contracts with knowledge-based companies to produce Iranian-made human vaccines and medicinal products. These companies announced their achievements by announcing the call, and after specialized evaluations, they were supported and keyed in the production process. All six companies have made good progress, and two of them have made significant strides.
The Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs mentioned that five types of human vaccines will be provided to deal with various diseases. In this regard, he added: two vaccines are prepared and three other vaccines will be soon introduced to the market. During this trip, Sattari visited the project of amphibious airplane.
In addition, he met with Ayatollah Rasoul Felahati, the representative of the Supreme Leader in the province and the Friday Imam of Rasht. He cited waste as a problem in the northern provinces, especially in Gilan.
During the meeting, Sattari affirmed: investing in Gilan's infrastructure is not appropriate, and the province's science and technology parks do not have many facilities.
Emphasizing the development of the infrastructure for science and technology parks of Gilan, Sattari mentioned: we have a duty to help in the field of science and technology parks and knowledge-based centers of the province, and the sympathy of the officials of Gilan in this field is important.
During the trip, Sattari visited the exhibition of technological products and achievements of Islamic Azad University, Rasht Branch.
The exhibition included more than 30 technological projects prepared by the professors and students of the growth center of the mentioned university.
