During his trip to Isfahan Province, the vice president for science and technology affairs stated: several technological products have been produced in the country in the field of food industry and food security development, and we are witnessing the production of some enzymes and probiotics for the first time in the country with the power of specialized personnel.

According to the information center of national elites foundation, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, pointed out the outbreak of Corona, stating: the coronavirus pandemic led to a great phenomenon in production warehouses of the country. Before the crisis, a limited number of three-layer masks were produced in the country and no production line was allocated to this area.

According to Sattari, Iran became one of the mass producers of different types of masks in less than a month with the help of knowledge-based companies. Production lines and required equipment were built in the country and dozens of new production lines were set up around the clock. This happened in addition to the field of mask production in the field of other similar products.

Rapid response of knowledge-based companies to the country’s needs

The vice president for science and technology affairs mentioned: we were in dire need of products such as disinfectants, which was met by relying on imports in the past. Today, we have met this need by relying on the power of domestic workforce.

He added: in the decades of technology and knowledge companies, new production lines were created to produce a variety of medical equipment such as breathing apparatus.

The head of the national elites foundation also marked: in the field of Corona counter products, there is almost no major product to be supplied from abroad.

We have concluded contracts with six companies to produce corona vaccine. In the meantime, two companies are leading and we hope that their research will be successful in the near future.

Development of the culture of knowledge-based economy

Pointing out the cooperation between the Vice-Presidency and the ministry of health, Sattari affirmed: special lines are designed so that knowledge-based companies can obtain the necessary licenses with suitable conditions. The flu vaccine is currently being tested in the laboratory, and we hope to have the vaccine on the market by the fall of this year.

According to Sattari, this has been the first time in the history of the country that we have been able to produce flue vaccines. In addition, a higher number of vaccines are under investigation. In addition, a refinery will be established with the use of domestic technologies in order to deal with Corona.
