The appointment of the secretary for the development of the knowledge-based economy of machinery and advanced industrial equipment headquarters
The Vice President of Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy in a decree has appointed Mohammad Mehdi Hadavi as the secretary for the development of the knowledge-based economy of machinery and advanced industrial equipment headquarters. One of the main missions of this position is to increase the contribution of knowledge-based economy in the field of machining and equipment. The decree emphasizes the importance of fulfilling this role and sets out specific tasks for Hadavi, including optimizing and diversifying the country's machining and equipment portfolio, forming specialized consortiums, developing long-term economic cooperation plans, implementing strategic projects, and promoting collaboration among experts in the field.
Hadavi holds a Ph.D. in metallurgy and metal protection and is currently a professor at Tarbiat Modarres University. He has served as a member of the academic board at Tarbiat Modarres University, director of the provincial center for standardization, deputy of research and innovation at the Aerospace Industries Organization, board member of Iran Aircraft Industries, board member of Isfahan Construction and Housing Company, official EFQM assessor, member of the Iranian Qualification Approval Council, member of the policy-making council and technical committee of the National Quality Award of Iran, member of the strategic commission of the National Standards High Council of Iran, and president of the Materials and Energy Research Institute and the Center for Local Production, Machining, and Equipment at the Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Trade.
In addition, Hadavi has won several awards, including the top joint applied research award at the twelfth Kharazmi International Festival, the national exemplary manager award at the seventh Shahid Rajaei Festival, and the third-ranked invention award at the nineteenth Kharazmi International Festival. He has also supervised 128 research projects by doctoral and master's students, published 125 articles in reputable scientific journals, registered one international patent, and authored six books and translated four others.
