The ceremony of commemoration of “Professor Ardeshir Ghavamzadeh, the Father of Bone Marrow Transplant of Iran” will be held in Arak.

According to the information center of national elites foundation, in line with laying the foundation for guiding elites and establishing role models who are national figures and in order to appreciate the elite efforts of these individuals, the ceremony of commemoration of “Professor Ardeshir Ghavamzadeh, the Father of Bone Marrow Transplant of Iran” will be held in Arak with the cooperation of the elites foundation of Markazi Province, ISNA news agency, and Jihad Daneshgahi of Arak.

Professor Ardeshir Ghavamzadeh is one of the prominent figures of the province and the country, recognized due to his activities to introduce and establish the fields of study of hematology and oncology in various specialized and subspecialized ranges in the country and establishing a cancer research center in Tehran University of Medical Sciences, training more than 300 cancer experts in his years of activity, and establishing 19 transplant centers in various provinces of the country.

In 2012, he was selected as the top cancer researcher in the world.
