Visiting the progress of the Jet 72 project at Amirkabir University of Technology; Dehghani: We are pursuing the development of public air transportation by supporting knowledge-based companies
The Acting Vice President of Science and Technology and the Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade visited the development process of the Made in Iran Jet 72 aircraft project
Ruhollah Dehghani, acting Vice President of Science and Technology, while visiting the development and evolution process of this project, referring to the key role of technologies and space in authority, economy and employment, said: There is no doubt about the high importance of the aviation industry and this field, It is known as an industrial title of authority and economy. Therefore, we intend to provide the basis for the country's progress in the industry by supporting knowledge-based and technological projects.
Referring to the necessity of the aviation industry market being available to knowledge-based companies, Dehghani said: having this market can be a serious help to the prosperity of these companies on the one hand, creating employment and the prosperity of the country's aviation industry on the other hand. The serious program of the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology is to help these companies create a market.
Emphasizing that special attention should be paid to the less developed sectors of the industry in the country, he continued: In sections and sectors of the industry that received good attention, we see valuable achievements, but it is necessary in other sectors as well. At the beginning of the journey, serious steps should be taken. In the upcoming horizon, the Vice-Presidency of Science and Technology has put the development of these sectors, especially the field of public air transport, on the agenda.
The Acting Vice President of Science and Technology considered the development of the Iran Jet 72 aircraft project as an opportunity for the development of local air transport technology using previous experiences and added: In this project, it has been tried to take advantage of all past experiences and infrastructures. The valuable approach can revive the efforts and achievements of the past that took place in the Iran 140 plane project and pave the way for technology development and gaining new experiences.
Dehghani considered another valuable feature of this project to be the use of university capacity and scientific experiences and added: It should be noted that the success of the project depends on the role of 3 main actors. The first actor is the team that prepares the project and transforms it from a conceptual sample to a prototype; The second actor is the industry that produces this product, and the third actor is the airlines, who must provide their potential market to this product.
The Acting Vice President of Science and Technology, emphasizing that the development of product-oriented projects should be followed by the supervision of the university and by knowledge-based companies, continued: We are trying to make this project have a legal personality and next to the knowledge-based company. It should be decided to bring the product to the manufacturing stage by considering all the stakeholders. Production is the next step, and reaching the airline market is an important step for which we provide the necessary support in all these steps.
Referring to the formation of elite teams and cores in the form of knowledge-based companies, he said: If we can gather a network of knowledge-based companies in this field, special help will be given to the design and development of knowledge-based products of aviation technology. We are determined to follow the path.
The Ministry of Defense's support for the development of aviation technology
Seyyed Reza Fatemi Amin, the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, also stated in this visit that the aviation industry is one of the driving industries and its prosperity can help other areas and technologies. We created the Ministry of Silence to provide the ground for the development and prosperity of air technology and aviation in the industrial dimension.
He added: In the field of UAVs, small and light aircraft, there has been a very good development. We also have good capabilities in the field of helicopters, and in the field of wide-body aircraft, fortunately, we have achieved good results with the help of the country's universities.
Referring to the support for the acceleration of the project, Fatemi Amin said: "Fortunately, this project has reached a good stage, and we will provide the ground for its realization in collaboration and interaction with the Vice President for Science and Technology."
Development of Iran-made aircraft technology
The design project of a 72-seater jet passenger plane is a step taken by the specialists of Amirkabir University, a group of specialists and technological activists of knowledge-based companies.
In this project, which is the basis for the construction of a passenger plane with a capacity of 72 people and on the platform of Iran's 140 aircraft, more than 8 PhD students, more than 40 senior experts and knowledge-based companies cooperate in the project.
Asa Company operates as the main designer of Made in Iran passenger jets.
Iran Jet 72 aircraft can cover all the routes of Iranian cities and many cities of West Asia, even in hot and high altitude conditions, without reducing passengers.
Increasing passenger satisfaction, increasing take-off rate, sufficient engine power to take off from hot and high runways, preventing the reduction of passengers and flight altitude, reducing the number of engine failures are only part of the advantages of the 72-seater Made in Iran jet.
The country needs at least 366 airplanes, which will require about 36 billion dollars until 1410 for Iran to keep pace with the world average.
Considering the 11 billion dollar value of the air fleet market, the 5 billion dollar maintenance market, and the 1 billion dollar research and development market, which has provided the basis for creating a 17 billion dollar market, the development of the country's air fleet in line with the world average can lay the groundwork for Create 341 thousand jobs.
