Pointing out that Iran is leading in the field of nanotechnology, the vice president for science and technology affairs stated: since five years ago, we have seriously focused on the commercialization of products in this field.

According to the information center of national elites foundation, the 12th nanotechnology fair was held in the presence of Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, and Reza Ardakanian, the minister of energy.
Mentioning that production of a product is the result of investment of the private sector in research, Sattari continued: laying the proper foundation in this area will result in the production of several products. As observed, new sciences such as nano have significantly changed our lives and have reduced our costs.
Power Research Institute, a Successful Example in Development
The vice president for science and technology affairs introduced the power research institute a successful example in technology development with the investment of the private sector, stating: this government unit functions as a mentor in the research field and aids private companies to develop the activities of startups and knowledge-based companies.
The president of the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter talked about the abilities of human resources in the country, affirming: we have an extraordinary human resource. By laying the proper foundation for the private sector, the government sector can uses this capacity.
During the event, Sattari and Ardakanian visited the 12th nanotechnology fair.
It is notable that the fair was initiated on October 13th, 2019 in the presence of 139 active units.
Some of the most important achievements of Iran in the field of nanotechnology include receiving the 4th rank in the world in terms of nano science production, activity of 239 knowledge-based and industrial companies, production of more than 610 products and export of nano products to more than 40 countries.
The products presented on the exhibition are related to the fields of water and environment, energy, healthcare, automotive, construction, textile, oil and agriculture.
In addition, audiences come from Turkey, Ethiopia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Africa, Azerbaijan, Indonesia and CIS countries.
In total, 30 new products will be presented in this round of the fair.
Other parts of the event include industrial companies & exchange network, technology development division, B2B specialized programs, student tours, workshops, attending universities & research.
