Pointing out the allocation of 10 billion rials to the formation of an innovation region in Allameh Tabataba’i university, the vice president for science and technology affairs stated: after the successful establishment of Sharif Innovation Region on industry and engineering, the Vice-Presidency supports the formation of a humanities innovation region.

According to the information center of national elites foundation, the comprehensive innovation center of Allameh Tabataba'i University hosted Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, to open a new door to the development of an entrepreneurial ecosystem with the help of humanities.

100-Billion-Rial Support of Formation of Humanities Innovation Region

Regarding the support of development of science and technology park on humanities with a value of 10 billion tomans, Sattari marked: this support will lead to the development of technological and innovative work in the field of humanities. There are abundant innovative ideas in the humanities and cognitive sciences fields, results of which have been observed in health field. Investing in the private sector alongside the guidance and support of well-educated and creative young people towards startups in the field can create significant value added jobs while generating a significant amount of employment.

The vice president for science and technology affairs regarded the opening of cognitive sciences research lab in Allameh Tabatabaei University in line with a new step taken in the university, declaring: before, the majority of cognitive sciences universities would focus on engineering fields. Today, interactions between the two parts have increased, and Allameh Tabatabaei University has taken new steps toward interaction with cognitive technologies and sciences.

Humanities Innovation Region Will Be Established

Hossein Salimi, the president of Allameh Tabatabaei University, mentioned the positioning of the university in an innovative ecosystem to create value added in different fields, asserting: we have dedicated the physical and research spaces of the university to this area. We are the only university where students attend a skill-training course in addition to their own classes.

Visit of Innovation Ecosystem of Allameh Tabatabaei University

Sattari visited different parts of the innovation ecosystem of Allameh Tabatabaei University and talked with active youth in innovative cores of growth center.

The comprehensive growth and innovation center of the university was inaugurated by Sattari and will focus on urban transportation and automation in Olympic village. Innovative accelerators, collaborative workspaces, event home, and innovative business offices are key parts of the center. In addition, live labs, including cognitive sciences laboratory, will provide services to domestic and international universities.
