Women’s participation in the innovation ecosystem needs a domestic model

According to the information center of national elites foundation, The vice president for science and technology affairs started his speech with explaining the importance of attention to the innovation and technology ecosystem in the field of women, stating: women live in a society whose rules and regulations are set by men. Therefore, the change in the system dominated by men has to be done by women themselves and progress requires social mobility.
Pointing that the path requires culture building, Sattari continued: we should seize the opportunity to create an ecosystem of innovation in this field and create it on the basis of new standards. Nowadays, women are involved in politics, such as economics.
The vice president for science and technology affairs mentioned that women have properly entered the knowledge-based ecosystem, expressing: to engage women in different fields, we need to develop an indigenous model that fits our country's culture. The field of innovation is a good place to start this movement. Of course, there is the potential and knowledge of developing this native model in the country.
The president of the national elites foundation affirmed: now is the right time to create an infrastructure needed to create this ecosystem for women to be present in the society. Perhaps in the fields of science and technology, there is a higher rate of male presence, which must be resolved.
Sattari considered holding of this event a new door to the presence of women in the field in order to establish a model, in which women are successful.
According to the report, the event was held by the women’s affairs center of the Vice-Presidency along with the women’s week in Hozeh Honari Andisheh Hall.
Simultaneously with the event, an agreement was signed between the Vice-Presidency and the National Association of Iranian Women Businessmen. The agreement was signed by Zeynab Hamidzadeh, the advisor to the vice president in women’s affairs, and Seyedeh Fatemeh Moghimi, the head of the National Association of Iranian Women Businessmen.
The agreement was signed with regard to the importance of the presence and role of creative women in the science and technology society of the country and necessity of laying the foundation for development and deepening of the role in the knowledge-based economy.
In addition, recognizing and introducing creative and technological women of the country with the goal of participation of women in realization of a sustainable develop were among the topics of the agreement.
