20 Joint Research of Iran and Russia Will Be Supported

The second amendment of the cooperation agreement was signed between Iran national science foundation and Russian Foundation for Basic Research.
According to the information center of national elites foundation, the agreement was signed by Iman Eftekhari, head of the foundation, and Panchenko, head of RFBR, along with the council of IIASA - International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis. According to the agreement, 20 joint research projects of researchers of the two countries will be supported to witness the development of scientific areas.
These projects are conducted in the areas of mathematics, physics and astronomy, chemistry and advanced materials, biology, bioinformatics and cognitive sciences, earth sciences (focusing on Antarctic and Caspian studies), history, archeology, ethnology and anthropology, economics, linguistics and cultural studies, information technology, computer systems and artificial intelligence, mechanics and aerospace, advanced oil and gas studies.
According to the report, Iran national science foundation and Russian Foundation for Basic Research published their first call for support of joint research projects in 2016, which led to the support of 18 research projects.
