According to the latest studies in the national elites foundation, the definitive emigration of top talents of the university entrance exam and scientific Olympiads of the country has had a considerable decline.
According to the latest studies in the national elites foundation, the definitive emigration of top talents of the university entrance exam and scientific Olympiads of the country has had a considerable decline.
According to the information center of national elites foundation,the latest studies in the national elites foundation have focused on definitive emigration statistics of the country by assessing 2712 winners of student Olympiads and 35313 top ranks of the university entrance exam. According to their results, the definitive exit of 1-1000 scores of the entrance exam in the field of math has decreased from 60% in 2011-2013 to 38% in 2016-2018, which seems to improve.
In the field of experimental sciences, the exit of top ranks of the university entrance exam has decreased from 10% in 2011-2013 to less than seven percent in 2016-2018. It is notable that these statistics have a downward trend.
In the field of humanities, exit of top ranks of the exam has decreased from 20% in 2013 to less than eight percent in 2018. The rate of exit from the country in fields of mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer, astronomy and biology Olympiads dropped from about five percent in 2011-2013 to about five percent in 2016-2018, indicating a declining trend.
In addition, the trend of return of Iranian experts to the country has been initiated by implementing the program of cooperation with non-resident Iranian experts and entrepreneurs since 2014 to create a mechanism for use of the knowledge and valuable experiences of these individuals from PhD holders from 100 top universities of the world, professors of 200 top universities of the world and Iranian experts and entrepreneurs working in institutes of science and technology or foreign companies.
In this regard, more than 3700 non-resident Iranian experts and graduates have initiated cooperation with Iran in different models on a platform designed for this purpose. Among these individuals, 135 entrepreneurs have established 93 knowledge-based companies, 340 faculty members of top universities have been recruited and 170 professors have signed contracts with universities of the country. In addition, 500 PhD holders have been entered into the service providing circle of the domestic society in the form of post-doctoral projects, and more than 2000 specialized lectures and workshop have been held in the past four years.
