Regarding the research ecosystem, Sattari expressed: there were misconceptions in the field of research that prevented it from developing, and this ecosystem needs to a change of attitude in people. Despite the establishment of a relevant research center in the country, we still import vaccines into the country. Therefore, there are problems in this area. With the activities of accelerators and private-sector investment, 17 vaccines and drugs will be produced in the next two-three years without the need for government money.

Pointing out the cruel sanctions against Iran in the field of needle cokes, Sattari marked: last week, the US imposed sanctions on Iran regarding “needle cokes”. Meanwhile, there are many scientists and scientific articles in the chemical field, and we are ranked fifth in the world in terms of article publication. Moreover, there are many active research centers in this field. Therefore, there are good scientific and technological abilities in this field and we have sufficient creative human resources. An ecosystem must be created in this field to witness improvement. In recent years, a new path has been opened to the field of research.

The Problem of Research Is not Money

The president of the national elites foundation mentioned the booming of the technology and innovation ecosystem in the country, expressing: the ecosystem has various players, who earned 90,000 billion Tomans for the country in the last year and are playing a role in GDP of the country. Therefore, when it comes to the knowledge-based economy, it means everyone has come to the solution.

The vice president for science and technology affairs also declared: there are two axes to the research. Basic research or market research. These two ecosystems are different in their thinking.

The agreement was signed in line with the overall policies of the country to boost production, develop the knowledge-based economy, and create an entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Development of technology and commercialization of technological projects will be followed up by signing of this agreement to accelerate meeting the internal needs, developing the technical knowledge, and expanding the production market inside and outside the country.
