A group of researchers at Imperial College of London are trying to produce a vaccine, which has been tested on rats and it is hoped that it will be tested on humans as well.

According to the information center of national elites foundation, English researchers are attempting to produce a vaccine for COVID-19. Led by Robin Shattock Dean, School of Mucosal Infection and Immunology, Imperial College of London, a group of researchers has successfully tested a vaccine on rats. It is hoped that the vaccine is tested on humans until June.

Paul McKay, senior researcher of the project, expressed: I have received the results of testing a vaccine on rats after one month, which confirmed the efficiency of the vaccine.

This group has worked with researchers in Paris to assess the effectiveness of the vaccine on monkeys. According to McKay, they have asked the British Medical Research Consulate for more funding to conduct clinical trials. In this regard, he continued: if we get the funding needed for clinical trials, we'll be doing the tests by June.

Researchers hope that the vaccine will be produced in the next year in case of successful clinical trials.
