On September 25^th, 2019, the first digital economy entrepreneurship ecosystem was unveiled with the support of the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter and digital economy and automation development headquarter and MTeam knowledge-based company.

According to the information center of national elites foundation,Parviz Karami, the secretary of knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter expressed on the meeting: MTeam is one of the first knowledge-based companies in the digital field, which has had good creative ideas.

Karami continued: in addition to unveiling the digital economy ecosystem, an agreement will be signed between the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter and digital economy and automation development headquarter and MTeam Co. to develop the ecosystem at a faster pace.

Support of Stable Jobs for the Youth by the Vice-Presidency

Secretary of the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter continued: two programs of ‘App Bazar” and “Saffron Boot Camp” will be unveiled as parts of the digital economy ecosystem. In “App Bazar” project, it is attempted to create a new market for capable individuals in the programing field. The needs and requirements of capable people are introduced on the app, and technical and specialized counseling will be provided to applicants.

Karami also explained about Saffron Boot Camp, asserting: in order to develop saffron programing language in the country, we definitely need human resources. This boot camp aims to increase youth programming skills in the short and medium term and promises to increase the basic and professional and digital skills of these young people in the near future. The Saffron boot camp can be held in the presence of 100 people and virtually for 1000 people so that they could enter the programing market with the capabilities and improve the establishment of their businesses.

Advisor to the vice president for science and technology affairs pointed out that flourishing of innovation and technology ecosystem in the country results in the formation of the market and jobs for young workface, stating: the ecosystem of the digital economy in advanced countries has high income and value added. However, the ecosystem has not been properly formed in the country, and the Vice-Presidency has taken actions to support knowledge-based companies and startups. Today, a step is taken toward the improvement of digital economy ecosystem in the country by realizing Iranian products.

Flourishing of Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Will Be Realized in the Presence of Idea Owners

Mahdi Mohammadi, the secretary of digital economy and automation technologies development headquarter, expressed: an ecosystem must have three key elements to form. These elements include rules and regulations (playgrounds), powerful actors (such as human resources, startups and knowledge-based companies) and a network of appropriate collaboration between actors. The flourishing of the entrepreneurship ecosystem requires a chain of actions to give meaning to entrepreneurship. The presence of idea owners in this process is of paramount importance.

Mohammadi continued: the manpower in the country must be empowered and skilled to thrive in this ecosystem. Therefore, attempts must be made before the stages of entering the acceleration stage and carry out high-risk investment. One of the abilities of students is the digital field since this area will be turned into a basic skill in the next 10 years. As such, cooperation must be made with the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter to support the national Darkoub program to enhance programing in students.

At the end of the ceremony, a cooperation agreement was signed between the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter, digital economy and automation development headquarter and MTeam Co. to develop the ecosystem at a faster pace. The agreement is signed in line with developing the digital economy ecosystem and supporting the growth of Iranian products, helping the market of freelancers, and reducing prices in the market applying the capacities of the private sector.

Knowledge-based economy culture-building and helping the entrepreneurship ecosystem, assisting synergy and increasing knowledge, cooperating in holding meetings, events and educational workshops to increase skills and specialized educations are among the topics of the agreement.

According to the report, the ecosystem has aimed to create a sustainable market and occupation level by training, empowering, facilitating and guaranteeing the market. The ceremony involved unveiling two “App Bazar” and “Saffron Boot Camp” products.
