According to the information center of national elites foundation, a cooperation agreement was signed during the trip of Sattari to Alborz Province among the vice president for science and technology affairs, the governor of Alborz and the mayor of Karaj.
The agreement was signed to attract accelerators, startups and knowledge-based companies at the place allocated to the innovation factory by the mayor of Karaj.
Pointing out the capacity of Alborz Province to flourish the innovation ecosystem and knowledge-based businesses, especially those working in the bio and drug technology fields, Sattari marked: Alborz Province is the pole of drug and biotechnology of the country, and considerable advancements have been made with the help of knowledge-based companies and startups.
Sattari talked about the establishment of innovation centers and accelerators in Alborz Province to flourish the technology and innovation ecosystem, adding: accelerators opened in the province can help the potential capacities of Alborz Province to flourish the drug field, biotechnology and information and communication technology.
The president of the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter considered the establishment of Alborz Innovation Factory to be in line with completing the path of innovation ecosystem of Alborz Province, adding: in the boom of knowledge-based companies and startups we need to take more serious steps, and this is possible with the help of this innovation plant.
Sattari also affirmed: we are ready to provide all the support that will be put in place on a specific date. The factory is a good platform for attracting and flourishing human capital innovation in Alborz Province and is becoming a place for creating added value and promoting technological employment.
Cooperation to Boom Knowledge-based and Startup Businesses
Azizollah Shahbazi, the governor of Alborz, talked about the support of knowledge-based businesses, marking: given the increased immigration to this province, we must increase occupations with the help of knowledge-based companies and startups. In this regard, Alborz innovation Factory, startups and knowledge-based companies can help us. To this end, the Iran National Science Foundation has made the primary investment with a value of 10 billion Tomans.
He added: Alborz Innovation Factory has taken measures to flourish knowledge-based companies of Alborz province with the cooperation of the Vice-Presidency.
Support of Innovation Factory of Alborz by the Municipality and City Council of Alborz
Ali Asghar Kamalizadeh, the mayor of Karaj, pointed out the support of the establishment of Karaj Innovation Factory by the Vice-Presidency, adding: the meeting is held in line with a meeting with Dr. Sattari on the opening of innovation factory in the presence of five members of Islamic city council of Karaj. Fortunately, the process of user change and establishment of the factory has been initiated.
Kamalizadeh mentioned that the firefighter school that had formerly an academic use is now being turned into Alborz Innovation Factory. In this respect, he asserted: the area dedicated to Alborz Innovation Factory is 15,600 meters including the central building laboratory and university.
According to the report, the vice president for science and technology affairs visited some knowledge-based companies based in Tehran and Alborz, Maad accelerator, and Mapna Open Innovation Lab in Alborz Province to expand the area of activity of knowledge-based companies and startups of the field, especially in the field of drugs, and information technology and communication.
