Export of technological products to Kenya will be accelerated

The acceleration platform of export of Iranian technology products and services will be established in Nairobi, Kenya with the support of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs to develop the export of Iranian technological products to this country.

The acceleration platform of export of Iranian technology products and services will be established in Nairobi, Kenya with the support of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs to develop the export of Iranian technological products to this country.


According to the information center of national elites foundation, it was decided to use the old embassy building of Iran to establish a technology exchange center and export offices for five years. In this regard, a technological delegation was sent to this country as a technology delegation.   


The mains goal of the trip were visiting the center of innovative businesses of the country, visiting the old building of embassy of Iran in Nairobi and technical evaluation of the building for preparation of the reconstruction plan and its associated costs. The building will be opened by the beginning of next year.


Deputy director of international business development added: given the high potential of Africa for delivering technological products that bring economic benefits and energy savings, Iranian knowledge-based companies can take advantage of this capacity.


In addition, organizations such as Kotra create and facilitate their companies' export activities by establishing their own overseas offices. The business office in Nairobi, Kenya, offers a variety of services to Korean companies that will strive to provide similar services to Iranian companies if properly funded.


Deputy director of international business development pointed out the recent years in the private sector in Iran to create accelerators, stating: the space for startups and innovative companies in Iran must enter the international arena and took full advantage of its capacity outside of Iran.


Hafezi cited the research conducted in Harvard Business Review and regarded three components for business platform success including "communication", "attraction" and "flow". In this regard, he continued: in the platform we are planning to design for the Business Center in Kenya, we will strive to make it easier for companies to enter this business center and provide their product and service information to a network of stakeholders.


He also marked: the design of the space and business model of the platform is in such a way that African businessmen and knowledge-based companies are attracted to the space.


He pointed out the supports of the deputy for management development & resources, the head of the international affairs & technological exchange center and the ambassador of Iran, applicant companies are invited to operate in this infrastructure.
