Iran Science Elites Federation, affiliated to the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, will support post-doctoral research projects to support PhD graduates and improve the research quality of the country.

According to the information center of national elites foundation Iran Science Elites Federation supports post-doctoral research projects to support PhD graduates and improve the research quality of the country. In total, 176 people have benefited from the support of federation during 2017-2018. In addition, the federation has paid more than 46 billion rials of wage to applicants of the project.

The post-doctoral research course aims to deepen research expertise in a particular subject. In these courses, specialized doctoral graduates receive research degrees by attracting researchers from research-sponsored institutions, to professors and academic leaders. Iran Science Elites Federation has supported these projects with the goal of supporting national graduates and improving the research quality of the country.

Based on the regulation of the federation, the selected scientific elites have a collaboration and recruitment quota with one-two post-doctoral researchers. In these courses, national PhD graduates (with a published article with an impact factor more than five) will pass their research project under the supervision of scientific elites and will receive a monthly wage of 30 million Rials (in Tehran) and 25 million Rials (in other cities). They are also paid 50 million Rials for research activities.

Recruitment Stages

Inclusion criteria are graduating inside the country and not more than four years ago. In addition, the participants must have at least one article published in top journals with an impact factor of above five. In case of meeting these criteria, the applicants can send their scientific background to the federation and start their project after the final approval.

The Vice-Presidency has aimed to move along with the academic research current of the country and support actual researchers with the mediation of organizations such as Iran Science Elites Federation.
