Detection is the most important part of corona treatment. In this regard, diagnostic kits help physicians detect the virus in patients. Therefore, domestic specialists have come to the field to produce diagnostic kits.

According to the information center of national elites foundation,  Currently, patients with corona are being identified using detection kits from the world health organization, China and UNICEF. However, the biotechnology development headquarter has announced a call for capable knowledge-based companies to enter the area of kit production.

After issuing the call, a high number of knowledge-based companies have announced preparedness to produce these kits. In total, 50 companies have volunteered to produce kits, five of which were selected and concluded contracts. Mostafa Ghanei, the secretary of the biotechnology development headquarter, mentioned: these Iranian detection kits will be introduced to the market by April.

According to Ghanei, imported kits are sufficient for the next two months but after this period we will be faced with a shortage of corona detection kits. That is why we meet this need with the help of domestic capabilities.
