The first specialized center of marine engineering
innovation and technology is established in the presence of commander of Navy
of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
According to the information center of national elites foundation, the first specialized
center of marine engineering innovation and technology is established with the
support of marine knowledge-based industries and technologies development
headquarter and Amir Kabir University of Industry. This center is based in the
campus of Amir Kabir University of Bandar Abbas with the area of 800 m2
and capacity of 30 technological and marine industries.
Mojtaba Barjasteh, deputy of marine engineering innovation
and technology center, pointed out the specifications of the center, stating:
currently, 13 groups are based on the specialized center of marine engineering
innovation and technology, which are active in various areas, including
underground and qanat-paving robots, various equipment of motor and thrust,
journey passenger vessels for islands of Persian Gulf, design and construction
of torque measurement system for marine diesel engines, design and construction
of boot taxi float, study and feasibility of anti-corrosion intelligent
coatings, and fishery equipment.
He marked that marine achievements in the area of marine
industries and technologies will be supported, adding: this center is a
specialized growth center that focuses on marine industries and is the growth
center of third generation, established with the cooperation of marine organizations,
such as the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, marine
knowledge-based industry and technology development headquarter, fishery, industries
development organization, IZAICO factories and navy of the Islamic
Revolutionary Guard Corps.
Deputy of marine engineering innovation and technology
center continued: negotiation with marine universities, such as Sharif
University of Technology, Science and Industry, Malek-Ashtar University of Technology,
Persian Gulf, Chabahar Maritime and Marine University, and all marine research
centers and universities of Netherland, Norway and Germany are along the future
projects of the center. In this regard, cooperation have been made with marine
school of Netherlands, which has entered its execution phase.
