Sattari attended the opening ceremony of an innovation and technology service complex in Ardabil province. The center has an area of 6000 m² and will accelerate the development of the innovation and technology ecosystem.

According to the information center of national elites foundation, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, expressed his satisfaction with the overall trend of development of the ecosystem based on knowledge-based economy in the province in a gathering of technology activists and reporters, stating: I have formerly traveled to the province and the technological measures taken in the province are promising. This issue and support provided by the governor and other provincial authorities in this part of the country increases the responsibilities of the Vice-Presidency.

He continued: I witnessed the steps of developments made in the province by knowledge-based companies and innovation centers. However, this level of development is not adequate and we still need to increase potentials and capabilities of the province.

Pointing out the opening of several innovation centers during this one-day trip, including a joint growth center between the Science Park and university and an animation and computer games innovation center, Sattari expressed: the Vice-Presidency mainly supports creative youth with novel ideas, who have developed innovation and technology in the province and at national levels.

Regarding the status of knowledge-based companies, Sattari asserted: the number of knowledge-based companies has not reached the sufficient amount and the province has a large capacity in the area of innovation and technology ecosystem.

Sattari also pointed out the issue of focusing on natural resources in the province.

The president of the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter affirmed: the opening of growth and innovation centers during this trip is a scientific step to get rid of the oil economy and crude sales. With this process, the knowledge-based economy will flourish and the people of the province will benefit from the achievements of this economy.
