A meeting was held in the presence of Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, and Kazem Khavazi, the minister of agricultural jihad, attended by a number of deputies and authorities. During the meeting, Sattari announced the introduction of Iranian products in the field of food security.

During visiting the science and technology centers of South Khorasan, Sattari met with some of the students and professors of Birjand University of Technology and considered a practical university as the solution for local problems of provinces.

Since 2015, the program of cooperation with non-resident Iranian experts and entrepreneurs has been designed and implemented in the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs (international.bmn.ir). Over the past five years, the program has involved more than 8,000 Iranian non-resident specialists in short-term and long-term projects with universities, growth and innovation centers, knowledge-based companies and technology parks.

“Pitch Startup” is a virtual event that provides an opportunity for idea owners in the field of marine industries to flourish their ideas.

This morning, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, entered South Khorasan Province to accelerate the pace of expanding the innovation and technology ecosystem in the province. Some of the plans of the trip include visiting technological projects and opening several innovation centers.

During the visit of the growth center of a university in Birjand, the vice president for science and technology affairs considered economy based on knowledge-based thinking as the most rational and cost-effective way to remove economic problems and barriers to the domestic production. The innovation center of Birjand University of Technology was opened during the trip.

The second call for research projects in the field of science popularization and promotion was published by Iran national science foundation to witness the flourishing of technological activities by supporting research projects.

Knowledge-based and technology companies and startups sometimes face problems such as supplying collateral and required documents to obtain liquidity by obtaining facilities. The capital market and the initial public offering are optimal methods that, if properly used, can become an efficient financial instrument for knowledge-based and technology companies.

The national medical plants exhibition is held every two years and is one of the largest events held in this area. However, the exhibition will not be held this year due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
